General Information About the 2010 Amica Marathon.


The Amica 5k will be held on race weekend, Saturday, October 16, 2010 in downtown Newport, Rhode Island.
The Amica 5k is open to all runners and is also a great warmup event for all registered Amica Marathon and UnitedHealthcare Half Marathon participants. All pre-registered marathon and half marathon runners can pay a small additional fee to run the Saturday 5k. For more information on the 2010 Amica 5k [5k Info]

The Amica Marathon will be held on October 17, 2010 at 8:00 A.M. in Newport and Middletown, Rhode Island. The Amica Marathon consists of the full Marathon, the UnitedHealthcare Half Marathon and a 2-5 person Marathon Team Relay

The Amica Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier

The Easton's Beach Rotunda is located at the race start, shuttles will be providing transportation for runners and spectators from the Newport Grand parking lot to the race start on race morning.

Race Day Registration entry fees:
Amica Marathon: $105
UnitedHealthcare Half Marathon: $70
Marathon Relay: $60 per-runner

Time Limits:
Amica Marathon: 6 hours
UnitedHealthcare Half-Marathon: 3.5 hours
(walkers are welcome so long as they complete the course in 3.5 hours)

Recovering from your 5km race? We will now use your 5km time as a base for your training. We suggest you use a great training tool:McMillan Running Calculator. It will provide you paces for your current fitness level. For the next three (3) weeks, we will be increasing the volume by 10-15% every week.
